How to help Ukraine and children in Ukraine
How can I help Ukraine?
The most effective way is through a trusted organisation: a donation, needed items, volunteering or getting your company involved. Before you donate, check the organisation’s registration number, its financial reports and whether it shows the results of its work.
In Christmas in the line of fire you can:
- give a gift to a child on the front line – PLN 200 = 1 gift,
- donate items from our needs list,
- pack gifts at the Superelf Factory in Warsaw,
- bid in our charity auction from 1 December,
- if you pay tax in Poland, give 1.5% of your tax: KRS 0000881474.
How can I help children in Ukraine?
Children who live 0–30 km from the front line spend most of their time in shelters and basements. The most direct help is a Christmas gift: a warm blanket, a torch with batteries and sweets, and a cuddly toy for younger children.
PLN 200 covers the full cost of one parcel, including the box and transport. The gifts are handed over by soldiers of Ukrainian civil-military cooperation units (CIMIC), because civilian volunteers can no longer get there. Give a gift.
How can I help children from Ukraine who are in Poland?
Christmas in the line of fire helps children who live in Ukraine, on the front line. Families from Ukraine who are in Warsaw get help all year round at the UNITERS Foundation Help Point at al. Jerozolimskie 30, open six days a week. More at uniters.org.pl.
Is help for Ukraine still needed?
Yes. In towns and villages 0–30 km from the front line, children still spend most of their time in shelters, and civilian volunteers can no longer get there. In 2024 we delivered 5,026 parcels, in 2025 – 6,904. For 2026 we plan 10,000 gifts.
How do I check that an organisation is trustworthy? Is the UNITERS Foundation verified?
Check the registration number, financial reports and whether the organisation shows the results of its work. The UNITERS Foundation (United Volunteers) has worked since 2014 and is a Polish public benefit organisation: KRS 0000881474, NIP 5242913528. You will find our reports under Reports.
The campaign is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. On 19 December 2025 the President of Ukraine visited the Superelf Factory, and the foundation’s founder Halyna Andrushkov received the Golden Heart order. The campaign has been covered by Polish Radio, PAP and OKO.press, among others – see Media about us.

Can I support children every month?
Yes. On the Donate page choose “Monthly” and an amount from PLN 25. You can change or stop your donation at any time – just write to kontakt@uniters.org.pl.
Can I donate from abroad?
Yes. On the Donate page you can choose PLN, EUR or USD and pay by card. You can also transfer to our EUR or USD accounts (SWIFT: WBKPPLPP), donate via PayPal or send hryvnias to Monobank.
What is my donation used for?
Gifts for children on the front line: the contents of the parcels, boxes and transport. Some gifts are made from in-kind donations from companies and individuals, and money fills in missing products, packaging and logistics. Donations to the campaign are not used for other foundation goals – other programmes are accounted for separately.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
In Poland, yes. The UNITERS Foundation is a public benefit organisation (OPP). Individuals can deduct donations in PIT up to 6% of income (tax scale) or revenue (lump-sum tax), and companies paying CIT up to 10% of income. Proof is the payment confirmation to the foundation’s account. If you need a certificate, write to kontakt@uniters.org.pl. Outside Poland, rules depend on your country’s tax law.
How do I give 1.5% of my tax?
If you file a tax return in Poland, enter KRS 0000881474 (UNITERS Foundation) in your PIT. It costs you nothing – the 1.5% goes to the state budget anyway.
PLN 200 covers the full cost of one gift for a child on the front line.
Give a giftGifts and delivery
What is in the gift?
Each gift contains, among other things, a warm blanket, a torch with batteries and sweets, and a cuddly toy for younger children. We pack the gifts at the Superelf Factory in Warsaw (al. Jerozolimskie 30). We never include used items.
Who receives the gifts?
Children aged 0–16 from towns and villages 0–30 km from the front line in Ukraine.
How does the gift reach the child?
We pack the gifts in Warsaw and hand them over to Ukrainian civil-military cooperation units (CIMIC). Soldiers deliver them and hand them to children in shelters, basements and homes, often between air-raid alerts. Every handover is documented.
Why do soldiers hand out the gifts, not volunteers?
Because it is too dangerous for civilians on the front line. In 2025 a drone destroyed a military vehicle carrying parcels from the Superelves. Even so, the gifts keep reaching the children.
How do I know the gift arrived?
Every handover is documented with photos and records. We will publish the 2026 campaign report by 15 January 2027. Partner companies receive a report with the number of gifts delivered.
Until when does the appeal run?
The appeal runs until 25 December inclusive. The Superelf Factory packs gifts from mid-November to mid-December.
